Prairie Family Business Association hires executive director
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Laura Schoen Carbonneau has been named the executive director of the Prairie Family Business Association in Sioux Falls.
The association, an outreach center of the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota, is a nonprofit resource for family businesses.
Carbonneau has spent the past 12 years leading the Pierre (S.D.) Area Chamber of Commerce. She also has worked as communications director for the South Dakota Department of Transportation and as executive director of the South Dakota Republican Party.
Carbonneau holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of South Dakota. She began her duties at the Prairie Family Business Association in June.
Altru hires three physicians
GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Three physicians will be joining Altru Health System in Grand Forks.
- Dr. Arsahd Khan is joining Altru Clinic in Roseau, Minn.
A general surgeon, Khan specializes in transplantation as well as in vascular access for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis catheter placements. Additionally, he practices minimally invasive, robotically assisted surgery.
Khan earned his medical degree and completed his internship at the University of Jammu College of Medicine in India. He completed his general surgery residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Chicago.
He completed both his pancreatic and islet transplant surgery fellowship and his multi-organ transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
- Dr. Gabriel Asumeng will practice internal medicine at Altru Health System in Grand Forks.
Asumeng earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, Calif. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
He also has earned a master of divinity degree from Andrews University Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Mich.
- Dr. Antoine Addoumieh will practice internal medicine at Altru Health System in Grand Forks.
Addoumieh earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. He completed his internal medicine residency and internship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
