Trucking industry names ND trooper of the year
FARGO -- North Dakota State Highway Patrol trooper David Kamp has been named the 2017 Trooper of the Year at the North Dakota Motor Carrier Association.
Kamp, serving the northwest region of the state and stationed in Garrison, has been a trooper since 1991. He was honored at the association’s banquet in Fargo last week.
This honor reflects the trucking industry’s appreciation for enhancing safety for those who depend on the highway for their livelihood. In his nomination letter, Kamp was lauded for embodying the mission of the Patrol and described as a “self-motivated trooper who has demonstrated an excellent work ethic throughout his entire 27-year career with the Patrol.”
